Yesterday was a busy day.  It had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that it was our 4th wedding anniversary either.  Here are the highlights of our lives as of yesterday.

JD – We had a specialist come out to see JD yesterday because there has been some concern about his speech development.  I thought there would be no problems but wanted him tested so I could tell those that asked me that he had been.  I was wrong.  He qualified for a program to help us, help him with his development from here on out.  We are currently waiting for another developmental specialist to come to the house and test him in other areas besides just speech.  Recently his tantrums have gotten worse, and/or my patience has gotten thinner, so it’s started to cause some challenges here at home.  It could be much worse and I’m glad we will have goals now and hopefully after some hard work it can make life a little bit easier for everyone.

Me- I start my 10 week Master Body Worker program up in SLC on Monday.  Am I ready, no.  Am I excited, kind of?   It’s going to be hard to be away from the kids for so long.  Since it’s in SLC I have to leave here no later than 8am and I won’t be home again till 6pm.  I just keep telling myself it’s only for 10 weeks, and I can do it.  I will still be working on the weekends and evenings so if you need a massage just give me a call.

Jeremy- With the looming pay cut and department change Jeremy has been searching for a better job.  He has yet to find one.  He ended up leaving the radio station he was at so that he could produce a show at another station once a week.  We are excited to see him more, but the lack of available jobs in communications has made Jeremy realize he needs more than just the degree he has.  He’s decided to go back to school this summer since he is only 5 classes away from a second degree.  The goal is to get some of his grades up so that he can get his masters if he wishes when he is done with this second comm degree.  I support this new decision 100% and we really feel like it’s what is best for our family.  It may mean some long days/weeks/months but we’d rather get it all done now while the kids are young.  Hopefully this choice will give him a bit of an edge over some of the thousands of other communication job seekers out there.  He is still planning on working for the hotel company while going to school but we will have to see how things go.

Gwen- She is growing like a weed, she finally got out of the newborn clothes and seems determined to practically skip over the 0-3 month clothes.  When she was weighed a couple of weeks ago she was already at 11 lbs 6 oz.  I’m going to bet now that she’s over 12 pounds.  She now shares a room with JD.  They both go to bed around 7-8pm.  She usually wakes up around 5:30am starving so I feed her and then she cuddles with me in bed till we get up and get JD.  It will be an interesting change to our routine next week when I start school.  The nurse had told us to keep her inside for 3 weeks to avoid her getting sick again.   She’s only been out of the house once in the past 2 weeks so we’ve been doing well with that.  I do believe I will be taking her to church on Sunday because I miss it so much.  Also with me starting school next week she is going to be out of the house at Trish’s for half the day and then back here with mom for 1/2 the day.  At least we made it the 2 weeks.

I know this was a long post without pictures to spice it up but I’m sure you’ll forgive me.  Peace, Love, and Chicken Nuggets.

  1. Don’t hesitate to call if you need help with the kids or time away from life (I am sure we can find a few more hair bows to make).

Sounds like a lot of changes, but with time this will pass to.I am excited for you guys.

  2. Call me if Jeremy wants to come over to make manly stuff . . . or do men just break things for fun, I can never remember.

  3. Bob, I am with Kristin. If you need my help with the kids don’t hesitate. They can run around with Gator and I watching all the fun stuff their cousins do… 😉 Good luck to both of you in school…it sounds like good ideas. XOXO
