Matt?

I just love this video and thought I’d share.  The one with the dancers in India is my favorite.  Matt Harding, you amaze me.

Saturday

Jeremy had to work at the radio station early this morning. I stayed back at the hotel and enjoyed finishing up the book I was reading. It’s the new Stephanie Meyer book called ‘The Host’. No it isn’t about Vampires, but I think I liked it more than her other ones. I just love the way she sucks you into her books. What an amazing feat for her as well, 4 out of 4 books making the NY Times best seller list! Congrats to her. I was sad when the book was over and I can’t wait to see what she does next. I know she has another one from the Twilight series coming out this year… but I wonder what else she’s got cooking in that little brain of hers.

When Jer got off at the station we checked out of the hotel and picked up Dieter from Nic and Kelly’s. I was so excited to see him! I loved the time away with just Jer and I, and I LOVED being able to just read with no distractions but I sure missed my guy. We took him over to Jeremy’s brothers house.

Some of Jer’s family was in town from Houston and so it was a lot of fun to be able to spend a few hours with everyone. JD loved being passed from person to person. I thought I had taken pictures but apparently I didn’t. After spending some time there we met up with Kelly and Nic again and they took JD for one more night. Our final little night of vacation. We had a room booked (thanks to mom) up at Daniels Summit Lodge. We drove through Park City and then stopped by a burger joint in Heber City called ‘Granny’s’. When I was younger we would stop there anytime we went camping. They have great milk shakes.

There wasn’t much snow left up at the summit, unless you looked out our back patio. It was just piled there, not really in front of any of the other patio’s… just ours. Jeremy liked it because the next morning it blocked the sun from coming in the window. I was going to pelt him with a snow ball I made, but it was more of an ice ball and I didn’t want to make him cry. The room was nice and I just have to thank mom for hooking us up! It was the perfect ending to our get away.

A lot of the pictures I took out of the car window. Snazzy I know, I’m such an awesome photographer! Some are in SLC, a couple in Park City, and then a few from the lodge. Enjoy.

Temple Trip Tuesday

This morning we loaded up all JD’s stuff in the car and decided to go to Temple Square for lunch with him before we dropped him off with my cousins Nicola and Kelly. The flowers were simply breathtaking and it was a beautiful day to walk around. We ate at the Lion House (yummy). I took a TON of pictures, here are some of my favorites.

Swimming, Sickness, and Surgery… oh my

I used to be so good at blogging almost every single day… then I had JD. I love that little critter but he is now in charge and I’m falling behind at just about everything. I have gotten a lot accomplished tonight so I figure I’ll do a quick blog.

Sickness: I’m STILL dealing with this stomach bug that I caught visiting Katy and Chad. Granted I no longer want to die and it is slowly getting better but at least once a day it hits hard. OH and for all of you that might want to comment and ask if I’m pregnant, NO, and I have 3 tests to prove it. Jeremy and I were REALLY worried about it because we still don’t even know if the Cardiologist will give us the green light later.

Cedar City: Besides being marred by everyone being sick it was nice to spend time with family that doesn’t live in the area. Even with Michael being born 3 weeks before JD and over 9 pounds at birth, JD has passed him up in weight and height. Could be that the stinker is eating a TON! The two of them were quite cute together.

Swimming: When Jeremy came down Katy had gotten sick so we used reward points he had and stayed in a hotel that one night so he wouldn’t catch it. The hotel had an indoor pool so we decided to take Dieter swimming. It was a blast. He fussed for a second when he first got wet but that didn’t last long and he had a blast with Jeremy. It was very cute and you could tell Jer was happy he wasn’t unhappy in the water. Lets hope it stays that way. After swimming JD was really tired and fell asleep on the way back up to the room. After I showered I found him and his daddy zonked out.

Biggest Loser: I am mailing my application out tomorrow. Shocker eh? I never watched the show before the last two seasons, and even then I’ve just caught the tail end but it’s pretty inspirational. Wish me luck. The freaking application was 10 pages long, and add a 10 minute video to that and it was quite a bit more work than I expected it to be, but a week and a half later it’s all done.

Surgery Again: This time it’s a surgery I have wanted for quite a while. I’m scheduled for a Mammoplasty in May. I’m so excited and yet scared at the same time. The surgeon who’s doing it for me said he was shocked I’ve waited so long to come in and get it done. Talking to him about life after got me really excited and I’m hoping it goes as well as expected.

Vacation: Jeremy and I are headed to California in a few weeks to visit family and show Jeremy around where I grew up. He’s never been to northern Cali before and so we are looking forward to the stay. Thanks to his hotel connections we are staying at one of the Intercontinental Hotels in San Francisco for one night. He is so excited!

How do you like them apples! Pictures and all!

Huntington Beach

We all met in the lobby of the hotel after check out. Art, Steph, Bryan, Jer, the boys and I all decided to drive over to Huntington Beach and walk around before going to the airport. Everyone else headed to Downtown Disney to do some last minute shopping.

dsc01022.JPGdsc01025.JPGdsc01030.JPGdsc01065.JPGdsc01072.JPG

It was perfect weather in Huntington and we enjoyed walking around a bit and grabbing lunch. We got a call that Braxton was being taken to the hospital via ambulance due to a seizure he had. Apparently his fever spiked and it was the cause of the seizure. Steph and I had just been talking about children having fevers and seizures the other day. It’s amazing how often it happens. We are all glad that he ended up ok and everyone was able to fly out on time.

dsc01074.JPGdsc01077.JPGdsc01078.JPG

All in all it was a great trip. Traveling with that many people can be hard sometimes, but we had a great time with family. Next October Jeremy and I are thinking of doing Walt Disney World with just us and Little Uno.

I’ve gone back to the blog I posted our first day and added pictures from our flight out and the hotel. You can also view all the pictures we took HERE. :-)

Disneyland Day #2

dsc00796.JPG

We got up early once again to hit the parks.  This time the Huntsmans, Griffee’s and Dad opted to relax and sleep in.  The rest of us had a rainy start.  The lines to get into the park were MUCH shorter even with it being Saturday.  I am assuming the rain kept some people away.  I would have been fine if it had drizzled all day but it did eventually clear up and the park got crowded in the afternoon.

dsc00860.JPGdsc00861.JPGdsc00866.JPGdsc00872.JPGdsc00873.JPGdsc00884.JPGdsc00882.JPGdsc00887.JPG

We hit the Jungle Cruise, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain and Winnie the Pooh early with no lines.  I love doing the parks when it’s not busy.  I’m spoiled I know, having worked for WDW it made it really easy for me to relax and enjoy the parks instead of being there during peak times.  Before going to Lunch we also road Mr. Toads, Peter Pan, and Dumbo.

dsc00888.JPGdsc00891.JPGdsc00889.JPGdsc00893.JPGdsc00895.JPG

For lunch we had tried to get reservations at the Blue Bayou (the restaurant inside Pirates) but never could.  Art and Steph decided to take matters into their own hands.  They waited for a while out front to see if there were any cancellations.  Other would come and ask but they stayed until finally they were able to get our entire group of 17 in.  We were so excited.  We all enjoyed the food and the kids loved that it looked like we were outside in the dark.  Mom and dad treated us to desert after our meal and I’m sure the picture speaks for it’s self, but KK LOVED the ice cream.

dsc00896.JPGdsc00905.JPGdsc00913.JPG

After lunch some of us headed over to California Adventure to watch the Aladdin show.  It was awesome.  Parker loved that an Elephant walked right down by him and the Genie was so funny.

dsc00925.JPGdsc00926.JPGdsc00929.JPGdsc00932.JPGdsc00938.JPGdsc00940.JPGdsc00964.JPGdsc00962.JPG

We headed over to ride some of the Tomorrowland rides in the afternoon and for me that consisted of a lot of sitting and waiting for family.  While I’m glad we had the blessing of the ECV so that the baby was ok and my pain was not what it could have been.  It was hard to know where I wanted to go but be unable to slip past people to get there, and then no ride some of my favorites.  Jeremy and I can’t wait to go again after the baby is born and also hit a park with more coasters.

dsc00967.JPGdsc00966.JPGdsc00973.JPGdsc00980.JPGdsc00993.JPG

That evening we all got to see Fantasmic.  Having 3 of us in ECV’s made it so that everyone was able to sit in the wheelchair seating right up close.  It was so fun to hear all the kids talk about it after the show.  I’ve never done Disney with small children and it was a whole new experience.  The only one’s that weren’t there for Fantasmic were Dad, and the Huntsmans.  Poor Braxton had gotten sick so they headed back to the Hotel after dinner.

Disneyland Day #1

We all got up bright and early to catch the first shuttle from our hotel to the parks. There were some long lines to get in but we were all so excited I don’t think anyone cared at all. The first ride everyone decided to head to was the new submarine ride featuring Nemo. I waited outside the ride for everyone and boy was it a wait. I’m glad that we hit that ride first because the line was horrible and that was first thing in the morning! By the time we got everyone through that one ride we decided to head over to California Adventure. Once there we split up. Since a few of us couldn’t or didn’t want to ride the thrill rides we took all the kids to the little 3D shows and kids rides. I was bummed that I couldn’t ride the coasters and some of my Disney Favorites but it’s better to have little Uno be born in February and not during the weekend!

dsc00729.JPGdsc00730.JPGdsc00742.JPGdsc00747.JPGdsc00751.JPGdsc00783.JPGdsc00778.JPGdsc00790.JPG

All of us met back up for lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. We were able to have our own little room and it was such a blessing that we didn’t have to worry about bothering the other guests. After watching the parade at Disneyland everyone decided to head back to the hotel to relax and get ready for the Halloween party that evening. I stuck around by myself at Disneyland and rode Pirates and the Haunted Mansion Holiday. The lines were long but since I had an Electronic Cart (ECV) it didn’t bother me because I could just sit and read while waiting.

dsc00805.JPGdsc00807.JPGdsc00808.JPG

I think the highlight of the day came when we all met up for the Halloween party at California Adventure. Everyone was in costume and we had a BLAST trick-or-treating and riding rides. It’s nice that they limit the tickets they sell because it made the whole evening so much more fun! Everyone got a huge kick out of Jeremy’s Burger King costume. At one point these little girls came up and chanted “Burger King, Burger King” over and over till he turned around. It was a hoot. One of my favorite things about the treats we could get all over the park is that they had packages of carrots, sliced apples, raisins and some fruit leather that you could ask for instead of the candy.

dsc00812.JPGdsc00815.JPGdsc00811.JPGdsc00826.JPGdsc00832.JPGdsc00846.JPGdsc00854.JPGdsc00856.JPGdsc00816.JPG

By the time we all left the park we were beat. While I thought I’d taken it pretty easy the contractions I had for about 3 hours that evening proved that I hadn’t taken it easy enough. We decided to take extra measures the next day and we rented our own ECV instead of sharing with mom and dad.

Maxwell Madhouse

 dsc00709.JPGdsc00712.JPGdsc00717.JPGdsc00721.JPG

Well the madhouse hit the sky today! That’s right, all of us (with the exception of Art who will join us this evening) flew to California today. We were nice enough to sit in the back of the plane so that everyone was together and the kids weren’t bugging anyone. It was a pretty good flight, well with the exception of the third person who sat by me and Jer. He was not huge, but also was not too small. We played Yatzee during the short flight so it was ok. We stopped once in Las Vegas, and it was actually nice because we didn’t have to get off the plane and that’s where Katy and Chad got on. Someone really smart must have booked those tickets… he he.

The hotel is awesome and considering that with all of us we have 6 rooms we are lucky to be close to eachother. I have some fun pictures from the hotel of everyone already but I forgot to bring my camera cable so they will have to wait.

dsc00723.JPGdsc00726.JPGdsc00727.JPGdsc00728.JPG

Tonight we split into two groups for dinner and I can’t wait to hit Disneyland early tomorrow. You know I’ll be headed for Pirates ASAP! Here’s hoping the sciatica and other pregnancy related problems decide to take a few days off!

Quick Break

We are watching conference today and since I haven’t blogged in a long time I decided to take a minute during the break in sessions to post a quick blog.

This week has gone by very quickly.  I spent 2 days or so in bed and today I’m feeling MUCH better.  I did work for a millisecond today, and it was refreshing.  I haven’t worked in a long time.  Since they have been slow and I’ve been sick, moving, sick, and just dealing with fun pregnancy stuff I’ve been enjoying the time off.  It won’t last.  Last September and early October were the same, quite slow.  Once People start to get ready for the Holidays it’s gonna pick right up again!  We’ve learned that I don’t have as much nerve pain when I’m mellow and not doing a lot.

This next week will be a great one!  On Wednesday morning we have our “big” ultrasound and then Thursday we head out for our family vacation at Disneyland!  It’s finally here.  I can’t thank the coolest people ever enough for watching our little doggies while we are gone.

Killer Bunnies and Blackberries

Last night Jeremy and I taught my dad how to play Killer Bunnies. I wasn’t sure if he’d take to it or not but I shouldn’t have doubted. He was SO FUNNY to play with. It was actually a pretty long game. He can’t wait to play with more people. He likes to try and bend the rules already so we had to be strict with him. I was a bit worried about him when he managed to kill off his first 3 bunnies by himself, but he caught on quickly after that painful lesson.

img00001.jpg

I took a picture at the start of our game with my Blackberry (sorry it’s dark so not a great pic). While I was pulling that picture off I also found all kinds of pictures I didn’t know were on there. I will put the ones Kailye (my niece) took with my phone first:

img00495.jpgimg00490.jpgimg00510.jpgimg00534.jpgimg00587.jpgimg00586.jpgimg00493.jpgimg00634.jpgimg00643.jpg

These were all taken in April on a weekend away in St George.  Just some of the girls, Dad and Braxton.

Here are random ones I’ve taken:

dogsonfloor.jpgimg00248.jpgimg00659.jpgimg00663.jpgimg00676.jpgimg00667.jpgimg00692.jpgimg00708.jpgimg00758.jpgimg00770.jpgimg00769.jpgimg00775.jpgimg00787.jpgparkercarseat.jpgparkercheese.jpgimg00790.jpg

Highlights are Parker eating a HUGE spoon of cookie dough, and making faces.  Kailye making her lovely ‘pick my nose during a picture’ face. Killer Bunnies with the Wu’s.  Holly and I in California.  Dad sleeping and well, not sleeping.  Jeremy and Bright. The dogs. And a few from Mexico with Brighton in the car and the Sunset.
